The best Christmas pageant ever

     We finished are 4th novel, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever written by Barbara Robinson.  The main characters are the Herdmans. The way to describe the Herdmans are bad and funny.

The one thing that surprised me that the  Herdmans smoke.  A few charcter traits are the Herdmans are nasty and bad. My favorite character is Imogene because she doesn't now the real meaning of Christmas. We are going to read the squel to The Best (Worst) Christmas Pageant Ever Year over break. I'm looking forword  to read this book because I like this book so I might like that book. I think this book was great because it's funny and caring. If I could have one of the herdmans as my freind it would be Imogene because I would help here get food and a house and be nice to other.

Loser book review

We just completed our third novel. Loser is a book by award winner Jerry Spinelli. The main character in the novel is Zinkoff. One word that describes Zinkoff is goofy. The reason I think this word describes him because he is very funny. The setting in this story is outside, school, home, the dark seller and alleys.

Zinkoff wanted to be a mail man. Zinkoff loves school. One of his teachers got really mad at him because he drew on the chalk board. His other teacher sat him in the front row because when his teacher was in school he had to sit in the last row. Then a snow day came and he went and played in the snow.  Claudia came up missing, and Zinkoff went looking for her. Zinkoff's parents got scared because he never came home. So they called the cops to find him. Then he came home and told his mom what he was doing. So they told him that Claudia was found around 7:00 p.m

The best part of the book was when he went looking for Claudia. I would change it so Zinkoff got lost and Claudia went looking for him. I think  it would have been more interesting.   One of zinkoffs character traits was caring because he went looking for Claudia. Another character trait during the story was Zinkoff is goofy. I did like this book because some of it seemed real. I also liked it because he sucks at every thing but he try's to do it.

Here's the scoop

 Today is Friday, November 15,2013 and the weather is getting cold.we have been working hard in math. We learned new divisiblity rules. Divisiblity is when you have a number and you check if 2,3,4,6,8,9 can divide equally. We have also learned to find the greatest common factor. In order to find the GCF you need to find the largest factors of two numbers.

Number of the day is 33. We take a number and - + x divide and draw picture. 

Mrs.binges 6th grade class is selling snake passes for 1.00.you give them a dollar and you get to have snake to eat.the money they raise goes to growing strong and habitat for humanity.

Congratulations to the following student that made the basketball team tyler Jacobe jahmal kaderius trelyn kamilan. Their first game is on Tuesday at the disc at 3:45.

Our next states and capitals test is Wednesday,November 20 ,2013 I am currently studying to take capitals.i am sure I will do great. There is a song on youtube that we have been using to help us with our states. I really don't like that song.

We have also been studying lots of vocabulary words.each week we make flash card, work on sentences, graphic organization and made videos With our iPads . My favorite word we've used is monopoly. The definition of monopoly is a service or company that make there on stuff.

Our holiday program is December 12 at 12:45. The 5th graders will be singing jingle bells  and we will jingle . In reading loser .

The book is about a kid who wants to be like his dad but he goofy at school.i like this book because he reminds me of my brother.

Shiloh book review

Today is Thursday ,October 24 ,2013. We have just completed our second novel, Shiloh. The protagonist in this is Marty. A protagonist is the main character. An antagonist is the book Shiloh is Judd Travers. An antagonist is the character who fights agins the main character.

The main conflict in the story was when Marty found Shiloh in the woods and had to give him back to Judd Travers. The resolution of Shiloh was when Marty work Judd to get Shiloh to keep forever.

My favorite part of the book was when Marty got Shiloh to keep forever.

My least favorite part was when Judd kick Shiloh if I could be any character in the book I would be Marty becuse he is nice to every body and every animal.

I would recommend this book to anther student becuse I liked it may be they will like It.
